C. La GrandD/MHAT Partnership – Jorge Perez:

Jorge Perez, Marketing Consultant from La GranD, presented to the Team a presentation and information in hopes of building a partnership with MHAT to increase awareness of mental health issues and the services available in the community. Jorge provided handouts regarding “10 Businesses that will boom in 2020” with a focus on the lack of Counseling and Therapy services and scientific research, along with “The Power of Hispanic Consumers In A High Growth,”which outlines the growth of the Hispanic Population in Milwaukee and surrounding cities. Jorge encouraged the Team to consider a partnership with La GranD with hopes to increase the awareness of Warmline, and to encourage callers to call by playing a PSA for listeners with the times the Warmies are available. Jorge encouraged the Team to meet with the Marketing Manager, Luis Albertini, in hopes to finalize a strategy to provide an increase of awareness in the community regarding mental health and the services available. The Team discussed Jorge’s visit/presentation today, and the potential of meeting with Luis Albertini and the La GranD Team. It was outlined to each Team member that it would not only be an involvement on behalf of MHAT AND our Employers should we decide to make a larger commitment other than a PSA for Warmline. Noting that there was a significant amount of Team members interested, Gabriela and Leslie will pull the proposal and provide it to Luke for review.

D. 2012 Goals – Action Steps

The Team reviewed the MHA/MHAT Resource Card and edits were noted for Luke to submit to Martina.

The Team will begin to discuss 2013 goals for the Team. Each Team Member has been encouraged to think about goals and what the expectations will be for us as a Team in the 2013 calendar year.
